Christmas Cards!!

One of my favorite parts of the Christmas season is Christmas Cards!!
I love to send them, I love to receive them!!
Getting mail is so fun, especially when it's mail with pictures and updates of my precious friends and family.

I have never ordered Christmas cards online before, but trying to keep up with Carson and Avery while picking out and designing cards in the store just doesn't sound like much fun this year.
So I was so excited to see all of the really cool designs that Shutterfly has this year for their Christmas photo cards as well as their holiday cards.
I've used Shutterfly before to make photo books and calendars for my family, and I've always been so impressed with how their photos turn out.
It's so nice to be able to make my Chirstmas cards from home and still have so many creative options to choose from.

Christmas card sending is right around the corner, so I better get started!!

So Thankful!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving over at my parents house yesterday.
It was a freezing outside, but that didn't stop us from eating on the patio like we do every year.
Here is everyone except Taylor...
....who ate her turkey and passed out!!
The cold weather didn't stop us from playing outside either!
Carson watching daddy fry the turkey.

It already Christmas at MiMi's house too! (Kennedy is wearing her Nonna's glasses)
Sweet cousins! Avery was in a mood yesterday...but she is cutting 3 molars, so we'll cut her some slack. Poor baby!!
My boys!
I have so much to be thankful for this year!!
I am so thankful for her,
for him (snot and all!!),
for him too,for them (the Millers),
for each and everyone of them,
and I'm especially thankful to Jesus for His unconditional love and for blessing me with my happy, healthy family!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

ICE!!

This past weekend we went to the Gaylord Texan with the Miller's, Grand-D, MiMi, and aunt JJ to visit Ice! This year's theme was A Charlie Brown Christmas. I've never been a huge Charlie Brown fan, but the exhibit was so cool and it made me want to go home and watch the Charlie Brown Chirstmas movie!
The Gaylor was decked out with Chirstmas decorations.
Here is Grand-D and aunt JJ with the nutcracker
Carson loved all the trains
So festive!
Carson and Avery also got to sit on Santa's lap for the first time, but Grand-D has the picture so I'll have to post it later. Let's just say that it is the typical 1st Santa picture...two screaming babies with a smiling Santa in between them. It was pretty cute though!
Last year Carson and Avery pretty much slept through the whole thing, but this year they seemed to enjoy looking at all the lights and ice sculptures. I think this may be the last year for the baby bjourns though... Carson looked like a kindergartener hanging off of JJ.
Avery getting excited to go in and see Charlie Brown.
Brrr...it's 9 degrees in there.
We had to take a picure of Carson and his blanket with Linus...
Snoopy's house...made out of ice!
I'm totally in the Chirstmas spirit now and got started with putting up my Christmas decorations yesterday. Carson and Avery's trees are up it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here...
But we are still very thankful for Thanksgiving and are excited about spending the day and Mimi and Papa's house!

Fall

I love the fall!! I love pumpkins, and the cool air, and all the beautiful colors! It is my favorite time of year. Carson and Avery have been enjoying the beautiful fall weather too!!
We were able to visit a couple of pumpkin patches in October. Here they are at a pumpkin patch in Richardson.
They loved playing in all the pumpkins!

We also met up with some friends to visit the arboretum pumpkin patch.
Carson and Avery with baby Cooper and Emery Kate.

This is the same pot of little pumpkins that we took thier picture in last year.
And here is last years pumpkin patch picture. Sweet little tiny babies!!
This past weekend we went up to Oklahoma for the Beaver's Bend Fall Festival.
We go every year, and we always have such a great time!
Hanging out, listening to some folk music.

What's in your mouth Taylor??
Little Indian princess!
At the petting zoo. Checking out what they will be eating next week. Gobble, gobble....

13 months

Carson and Avery turned 13 months old a couple of weeks ago.
This is pretty much their obsession lately.
There are only a couple of drawers and cabinets that don't have locks on them in the kitchen, and they know exactly which ones they are.
Avery likes to sit in this cabinet and Carson likes to close her up in it.
Then Avery pushes the door back open. It's amazing more fingers don't get pinched during this little game they play.
Seriously, a whole room full of toys and this is what they want to play with!!
Sweet, curious babies!!
At 13 months, Carson and Avery:
-are walking everywhere and starting to run. Carson can especially pick up some speed when he starts running. Avery can take a few steps backwards which she will concentrate really hard on while she does it. So funny!
-are saying lots of new words and sounds. Avery will try and repeat most things you say to her. Carson's favorite word right now is "hot." He thinks that just about everything is hot. If I'm holding a cup in my hand he will walk over and touch the outside of it and say, "hot." It is so cute!! Avery's latest words are book, nose, more, night-night, and duck.
-are taking 1-2 naps a day, are doing really well with their sippy cups but still get a bottle before bed, and still both love their paci's and blankies. They are at such a fun age and we love watching them play, explore, and figure things out!!
