Three!

My babies are three!! I still can't believe it! It really is amazing how quickly it all goes by. So far, "three" has been filled with lots of independence, a little bit of attitude, and some serious cuteness!! It's so funny to me some of the things that come out of their mouths. They are so imaginative, creative and cute at this age (well most of the time).

We had our three year checkup and everyone is doing great!
Avery: 30 1/2 lbs (50%)
37 1/2 in. (50%)
Carson: 35 lbs (75%)
39 in. (90%)

I've seen some really cute "three year interviews" on some friend's blogs so I thought I'd do one with Carson and Avery. Here are their answers... (oh, and I must add that the first time I did Carson's interview most of his answers were "poopy" I mean, seriously, what is so funny about poop?!? It took us two tries to get some real answers :)

Gender Reveal

About a month ago I had the "big" 20 week soon to check on the baby's organs and development.
20 week picture

Giving the baby kisses and hugs.
Everything looked perfect, praise God!!
And we got to find out the gender of our sweet little peanut!
We decided to do something fun this time since this is (most likely) our last baby, so we had a little gender reveal party for our family and a few friends. We told everyone to wear pink or blue (whatever they thought the baby was). As you can see, pink was the majority.
They are all holding up their vote (these Hershey's I colored with a sharpie)
I made this fun little gender reveal box with chalk board paint (and Tiffani wrote the words for me in pink and blue chalk). We had the reveal at a park in Rockwall after our family pictures so that my friend Brittney (who took our pictures) could photograph the gender reveal too.
And to everyone's (well most everyone's) surprise, it's a...
BOY!!!!
A precious, healthy baby boy!!
I can't believe my babies are going to be a big brother and big sister!
We are all very excited!!

Halloween 2012

Carson and Avery had several opportunities to wear their halloween costumes this year. This was the first year that they really had an opinion about what they wanted to be. Avery insisted on being Minnie Mouse (I wasn't surprised at all...she loves Minnie) and with a little prompting from me, Carson decided to be a cowboy (we already had the clothes from his cowboy bday party, I just added the chaps and he was ready to go).
We went "trunk or treating" at our church.

They enjoyed filling their pumpkins with candy,
playing on all the inflatables,
and getting to see all their friends.

We also went to the Halloween carnival at Kennedy and Taylor's school.
I didn't get any pictures of them with Ken and Tay though,
but I did get some of them playing all the fun games they had. They loved it!
And finally, Halloween night!
We went to a few houses in our neighborhood.
Our neighbor Jim goes all out for Halloween!
Then we headed over to Nonna's (Kennedy and Taylor's other grandma who lives in Murphy) house to go trick or treating.
Avery, Carson, Kennedy, and Taylor
And this year we had a new little addition to our trick or treating group... little miss Berkley Grace
Who dressed up as an ice cream cone. How sweet is she?
Our trick or treating group is getting bigger every year....so fun!!
The kids loved it!

Digging into their candy back at Nonna's house.

And perhaps the best part of the night for Avery was getting to hold Berkley. She had been asking all night to hold her and she finally got to. She was so sweet with her!
Happy Halloween!
