Cade 9 months

Cade was 9 months old on 11/23! He is such a busy, happy boy!
Who loves to pull off his socks...usually within seconds of me putting them on him!
And also loves to be on the move. He doesn't sit where I put him for long these days.

Love those blue eyes!
He still just has the bottom two teeth, but I see a little top one about to pop through.
At 9 months Cade:
-Weighs 20 lbs (25-50th%) and is 29.5 inches long (90th%). His weight has slowed down quite a bit the last few months. His Dr. wasn't too concerned, just said it's probably because he's mobile now. He's exactly the same (half an ounce more) as Carson was at 9 months.
-still doesn't crawl on his hands and knees, but army crawls everywhere. I don't think at this point he's going to crawl the "normal" way. He can get up on his hands and knees, but when he wants to go somewhere, he lays back down on his belly and starts scooting. He's actually pretty fast and slides quite well on the hard wood floors. He seems to exert so much more energy crawling this way...probably another reason he's slowed down on his weight gain.
-Babbles "MaMa" "DaDa" and "BaBa" now. It's so cute, though I don't think it was directed at me but "MaMa" was the first thing he said :)
-Still loves to growl, spit, squeal, and blow raspberries. He's started blowing raspberries on my arm when I'm holding him.
-Like I said, he loves to pull off his socks, and hats too. He also loves to pull my hair!
-Is eating a lot of table food now. He loves eating chicken, turkey, whole peas, and his favorite is little pieces of bread. He's actually become quite picky with his food the last couple of weeks. He will pick what he doesn't like off his tray and throw in on the floor (right now he's not a big fan of carrots or peaches). He still lets me feed him a few things, like pears and sweet potatoes...those are probably his two favorites right now. He's also tried eggs, blueberries, green beans, zucchini and squash lately
-Still won't drink out of a sippy cup. He just chews on it. We're practicing a lot though.
-He loves it when mommy and daddy hug...he starts laughing. It's amazing to me that babies can recognize affection in others...so sweet!
-Is wearing 6-12 month clothes and some 12-18 month. Still in size 3 diapers.
-Nurses probably 5-6 times during the day and several times during the night. There is some serious sleep training that is going to take place in this house over Christmas break!

Cade got to take the same Tiny Tots and Tunes music class that Carson and Avery took as babies at our church this fall. He loved it!
He loves following his big brother and sister around. He snuck into their tent they made the other day.
He also loves playing with the door stops.
Cade had a pretty rough start to the month of November. He started running some really high temps (like 105...scared mommy a little) and tested positive for the flu, strep, and an ear infection. (And yes, he had already had both his flu shots this year) Poor buddy! He was miserable!
I did get lots of sweet snuggles though.
And then he was left with this lovely drug reaction to penicillin.
After a few days of tamiflu and lots of rest, he was back to his happy, smily self!
Happy 9 months Caders!
