This little boy is 4 months old already.
He's a happy boy!
At 4 months Cade weighs 16 lbs 3 oz (75%) and is 26 1/2 inches (90%) long. He had a rough time with his vaccines this time (lingering fever up to 102.8, fussy and clingy). He needed lots of extra snuggle time. A couple of days later he was back to his happy, smiley self.
He's still pretty bald, but the little hair he does have looks pretty blonde.
He just started reaching out and spinning the little frog last night, so cute!
At 4 months Cade is:
-generally a pretty happy baby. He mostly just cries when he's tired or hungry.
-smiling and laughing so much now. He'll smile at just about anyone and has given us several big belly laughs. It's just the sweetest sound!
-still in size 2 diapers
-wearing mostly 3-6 months and some 9 month clothes
-reaching for and starting to play with toys that are in front of him
-rolling from front to back and can almost roll from back to front.
-eating every 2-3 hours during the day and still more often in the evenings (mostly because he's tired and I think he associates sleeping with eating)
-sleeping anywhere form 4-6 hours at night before waking up. He actually slept through the night one night when we were in Florida. Then he was right back to waking up anywhere between midnight and 3:00. He still sleeps well in his pack and play until he wakes up to eat, then he usually sleeps with me the rest of the night.
-napping pretty sporadically. He will usually take a decent morning nap (like an hour) in his swing if we are actually home. Poor guy has to just go with the flow with two older siblings around. He'll also usually take a good nap in the afternoon while C and A are sleeping, if I will sit and hold him the whole time.
-is doing a little better in his carseat and is starting to sleep some in it, especially in the mornings when we are driving to the church to drop off the kids for school.
-still not into the paci (I've given up) and still fights with the bottle. He'll drink it after like 15-30 min of screaming, so that's a little progress....but still stressful for the person trying to give it to him.
-still likes being swaddled at night.
He's starting to use his feet to move himself around when he's in the play gym. He doesn't stay in one place for long.
