As part of my "stay super busy in the weeks between school letting out and vbs/camp starting- so mama doesn't lose her mind" plan, I took the kids out to Ham Orchards in Terrell to pick blackberries. It was so fun! The kids picked to their heart's content, then we had a yummy BBQ lunch and soft serve peach and strawberry ice cream! Definitely going to have to make this a yearly tradition!!

Oklahoma Spring 2014
We just love going up to our cabin in Broken Bow! My kids (especially Carson) get so excited about a weekend in Oklahoma! We were able to make a trip up to the cabin a couple of months ago with MiMi, Papa, Kiki, Gary, Tiffani and the girls. It was a fun, relaxing...and loud weekend (it always amazes me how loud these 5 cousins are when they are together, but man they have fun!). We played on the patio, made campfires, roasted smores, played in the hot tub, watched movies, hiked, ate rocks (Cade), and made some great memories with family!
Avery's Dance Recital
Avery had her first year of dance this past year. She took a ballet and tap class through our church. Her first recital was at the end of May and it was just about the cutest thing I've ever seen!
Avery's ballet class.
She even got to wear a little makeup, which she was super excited about!
Avery and Ava!
Her ballet performance was to "Following the Leader" from Peter Pan.
And the tap performance was to "Splish Splash"
She was cracking us up with this spin around-shaking her hiney move she did!
After the recital they got a certificate and rose from their teacher Ms. Hayley
Carson used his own money to buy Avery some flowers. It was so sweet!
Mimi, PaPa, and Kennedy came to watch as well!
Avery's fan club!
Sweet little dancer!!
