Carson's New Do

Well, Carson had his first official haircut!
After being called a girl multiple times, we thought it was probably time for a big boy haircut.
I have always loved his little curls in the back and I just love longer hair on baby boys, so I was really sad to cut it, but it was definitely time!
Here is the before picture.
Look how long it is when it's wet.
Bye bye sweet baby hair.

He was a little fidgety, but overall sat very nicely for Ms. Connie.
All done, such a big boy
The back
Here is Carson's cheering squad that came for the big event!
I really love how it turned out!
We went next door to Cheddar's for dinner and Carson got to play with the helicopter that daddy bought him for being such a big boy!

He looks so much older to me now,
but he's still my little baby boy!

Being Sweet

These two have been obsessed with sitting in each other's laps lately.
I hear Avery as least once a day saying, "Carson, you want to sit in my lap?"
It's really sweet, and I am so thankful that they are starting to play together and aren't constantly fighting like they used to.
She also likes it when he lays his head in her lap so she can mother him.
And give him kisses.
When Carson won't sit in her lap, she grabs an arm full of babies and mothers them instead!

And reads them books too! Such a sweet little mommy!
And such a sweet little daddy too! He loves sitting his babies on his lap to watch Mickey Mouse!
Love my sweet babies!!

A Little After School Excitement!

Last week Papa come over with a little surprise for Carson.
It was a squirrel that he had trapped in his garage attic.
Carson was so excited to say the least!
He wanted to hold it.
Poor scared little thing!
Papa and Carson wedged the trap in our gate and opened the door so it could run out.
And then we waited,
And waited...
Till finally it ran out into the trees. This is as close to the the squirrel as Avery would get...can't say that I blame ya sister! Thank you Papa for the exciting afternoon, Carson has been talking about it all week!

Baby Barrett and Blue Bonnets

Aunt JJ and baby Barrett came to visit us a few weeks ago.
It was so great to see them and to spend time with this little cutie!
I can't believe how big he is now!
We took the kids to the arboretum one day.
It was fun! My two weren't very excited about sitting for pictures that day :)
Avery loved having Barrett around. She couldn't keep her hands off of him.
We also took the kids to take blue bonnet pictures.
And again, Avery couldn't keep her hands off of sweet baby Barrett!
Fixing his hat for him.
Holding his head.
And a little squeeze. Poor Barrett. Avery sure does love her little cousin!!
Finally giving him some space. What can I say, she loves babies!!
Carson and Avery running through the pretty blue bonnets.

Finally got a picture of this sweet boy looking at the camera!
Hugs!!
We got good use out of Avery's Easter dress this year :)
Silly girl
They loved climbing on this fence.

We had a fun few days getting to play with Aunt JJ and Barrett, and we were sad when it was time for them to leave. Carson and Avery loved hanging out with their cousin! I can't believe how big he will be next time we all get together.
We miss you Baby Barrett!!

Very long and overdue Easter post

We had a fun Easter weekend!
Friday we colored Easter eggs on the patio, in bathing suits of course!

Their "favorite" ones
The final result!
Saturday we headed over to MiMi and PaPa's house to celebrate Easter with my family.
The girls took pictures in the neighbor's blue bonnets.

Then the kids hunted Easter eggs.

Digging in!

Taylor enjoyed her candy!
After dinner, my dad got out the riding lawnmower and gave all the kids a ride.
Carson was in heaven!!

Which then lead to four wheeler rides.
They had so much fun!!
We finished up the night with a little dance performance from Kennedy, Taylor, and Avery.

Sweet girls!
Easter morning Carson and Avery got to open baskets from the Easter Bunny

Then we headed out to church.
Forced hug
And some forced hand holding (yes, I bribed them with marshmellows)
Sweet babies!
My three favorite people!!
Happy Easter!
